WHY RENEW THIS SITE?
As the existing warehouses on the site are approaching the end of their functional lifespan, it is proposed to change the zoning of the site to allow for its renewal. The new zones will allow for residential and non-residential uses, along with dedicating a portion to the site to Council as public open space.
This renewal offers an opportunity to transform the area to connect with the existing community and to enhance the established local character. By introducing housing, public open spaces and pedestrian connections, the aim is to seamlessly integrate the site with the broader community.
